Contra Dancing by the River, September 19

Join us on Sunday, September 19, from 3:50 to 4:20 pm, where we will be contra dancing at Coopers Landing as part of the EcoArtFest (An Environmental Fair and Art Festival). If you haven’t had the pleasure of dancing outside on a beautiful Fall afternoon, you’re in for a treat. (Watch this video from EcoArtFest 2009.)

But don’t just come for the dancing. Come early and stay late to listen to some of the area’s finest musicians, purchase works by local artists, participate in educational activities by local environmental groups, and eat Thai food.

The theme for this year’s festival is “Our Local Treasures.” There will be a silent auction to raise money for the Missouri River Cultural Conservancy to help them fulfill their mission of recording and documenting the locally produced arts that make our area unique.
