Halloween Contra Dance – Friday, October 29

It’s almost Halloween…come as you are, or who, or what, you want to be! (Costumes optional).  We are lucky to have music by Green Corn, with Dierik Leonhard on fiddle, Jane Accurso on mandolin, Joel Zemmer on banjo, and Heinrich Leonhard on guitar, wonderful musicians all. For a special treat, Ken Gall is returning from Indianapolis to call for us. Expect to be swept off your feet.

Dances start easy and become somewhat more difficult (but not impossible) as the evening progresses, so if you’re a beginner, come early. All dances are taught and called throughout the evening. No partner is necessary. Please wear clean soft-soled shoes to protect our gorgeous wooden floor. And most importantly, have fun!

  • Where : First Christian Church, Tenth and Walnut, Columbia, Missouri
  • When: 7:30–10:00 pm (beginners’ lesson at 7:00)
  • How much : Admission $7.00 ($4.00 for ages 16–25 or with student ID; free for children 15 and under).
