Hallsville Square Dance – Saturday, January 8, 2011

Ring in the new year with an old-time square dance at the  Community Center in Hallsville, Missouri. This is an informal event, where people of all ages gather to play music, share food and fellowship, and dance the night away. Square dance instruction available, live music.  Donations gratefully accepted to help cover costs. Carry-in food welcome for the potluck supper. No smoking in the building. No alcohol allowed.

  • 4:00 pm: Open old-time jam
  • 6:00 pm: Pot-luck dinner
  • 7:00 pm: The Virginia Reel, followed by squares, waltzes, schottische, and polkas

The Hallsville dance usually starts out with the Virginia Reel, followed by squares and couples dances.
