Boone Dawdle–August 17, 2013

Fellow dancers

On August 17th, MMTD will participate in the Boone Dawdle, a fundraising event for the True/False Film Festival. The Boone Dawdle is a slow bicycle ride from Columbia to the Les Bourgeois winery in Rocheport with many fun stops on the way. The ride is followed by a picnic-style dinner (very good food, local products, wine and beer) at the winery accompanied by music and a movie.

We’ve been asked if we would like to animate a stop on the way and we said yes! We’ll have a stop on the way. Shhhh! Can’t say where but let’s just say you can get to it by road in 20 minutes from Columbia.

Rhett and Claire will call the dances. We would also like other experienced dancers who are willing to be at the spot for about 3 hours from 4:30 to 7:30 pm, or until the last riders have passed. We need at least 4 and as much as 7. It might be hot but it’s toward the end of the day and we’ll have plenty of water. To repay you for your time, RagTag is offering movie passes to each of these dancers. Please contact Rhett or Claire if you would like to do this. The first 7 people who agree to this get the movie passes.

We know that many dancers like True/False and have done the Boone Dawdle in the past. So if dawdling is in your plans and you do the ride, please stop and dance one or two dances when you see us. Invite your fellow riders to dance too!
