Contra Dance–Friday, October 4, 2013

We are very lucky to have the Mound City Slickers coming from St. Louis to play for us (Bill Stewart, David Crossley, Sean Belt-Ruprecht, Bob Clark, Roy Farwell, Rich Egan, and Lindell Blackford). With calling by our own Paula McFarling. We hope you can join us!

IMG_1940And don’t forget! We have moved. Dances are now held at The Ballroom Academy of Columbia (BAC). This wonderful facility has a spacious, floating wood floor and comfortable seating. The BAC is located at 3910 Peachetree Drive in the same plaza as the French Laundry (behind Arby’s) and faces Monterey Drive.

The dance is from 7:30–10:30 p.m., with beginners’ lesson at 7:00 p.m. Admission $8.00 ($5.00 for ages 16–25 or with student ID; free for children 15 and under).

Important note — Please wear soft-soled or leather-soled shoes to preserve the floor. No spike heels or cowboy boots. Please carry in appropriate dance shoes as needed.

The BAC has an endless water dispenser with paper cups, but we encourage you to bring a water bottle.

Carpooling: If you need a ride or are willing to drive to the Ballroom Academy from downtown, contact Rhett.
