Halloween Contra Dance – Friday, October 30

Halloween Contra DancePut on your favorite costume, or come as you are, for a Halloween Contra Dance!

We’ll be dancing to the lively music of the talented River Ridge String Band, with Cliff White on hammered dulcimer, Molly White on mandolin, Charlie Nelson on guitar, and John Cunning on percussion.

Our trio of fine callers will be Claire Baffaut, Jim Thaxter, and Taylor Merrels.

Friday, October 30, 7:30-10:30 pm. (Beginners’ lesson at 7:00.)
Dances are for all levels. Beginners welcome! No partner needed.
Admission is $8, $5 for ages 16-25 (or with student ID).  Free for 15 and under.

Dances are held at the Ballroom Academy of Columbia (BAC)
at 3910 Peachtree Drive, Columbia. Directions and map.

Important Note – Please wear soft-soled or leather-soled shoes to preserve the floor. No spike heels or cowboy boots. Please carry-in appropriate dance shoes as needed.

The BAC has an endless water dispenser with paper cups,
but we encourage you to bring a water bottle.
