The weather looks great for our next contra dance! Make plans now to come out for a fun night of dancing to the ever-popular Snorty Horse, this Friday, January 20. Snorty Horse is Dave Para and Cathy Barton from Boonville and Michael Fraser and Tenley Hansen from Springfield. Excellent musicians all, they combine their talents to produce great dancing music!

Veteran caller Jim Thaxter will join with the band to lead what’s sure to be a lively dance!

The dance starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Ballroom Academy of Columbia, 3910 Peachtree Drive. Admission is $8 for the public, $5 for students and ages 16-25, and free for children 15 and under.  A beginner’s lesson starts at 7:00 p.m. Come alone or bring a partner. Beginners are very welcome!

Please wear clean, soft-soled or leather-soled shoes to preserve the floor. (No spike heels or cowboy boots are allowed. Carry in appropriate dance shoes as needed.)
